Wieści z Instagramu: Love is Love, Pride Month, Sam Smith, Ryan O'Connell, Geena Rocero, SPR ...

"Ale co ja sam/a mogę zrobić?" - słyszymy to pytanie często wśród ludzi z naszej społeczności. - to "pakiet podstawowy". A jest jeszcze "pakiet premium" i "pakiet deluxe", gdzie na końcu wstępuje się do organizacji LGBTI. Poradnik aktywisty/aktywistki autorstwa Daniela Oklesińskiego, opatrzony cudnymi rysunkami autorstwa Beaty Sosnowskiej - do przeczytania w najnowszej "Replice", dostępnej na Allegro: - papierowa: https://allegro.pl/oferta/replika-nr-79-magazyn-lgbt-maj-czerwiec-2019-8123004300 - cyfrowa: https://allegro.pl/oferta/replika-nr-79-magazyn-lgbt-maj-cz-2019-wersja-pdf-8123036608 - prenumerata z książką w promocji:: http://replika-online.pl/ksiazka-krzysztofa-charamsy-dla-nowych-i-przedluzajacych-prenumeratorow/. #lgbt #lgbtq #lgbtqi #magazynlgbtqreplika #replikalgbt #replikalgbtq

#PowerOfPride: After Hannah Gadsby's Netflix special “Nanette” launched her into the comedy stratosphere last summer, the comedian went from “extreme invisibility to extreme visibility” quite quickly. Marginalized all her life, she’s not used to being looked to at all, either as the role model or lightning rod of controversy as she has simultaneously become. “I didn’t set out to speak about anybody else’s experience other than my own and feel incredibly humbled to think that I may have articulated an experience felt by so many others all over the world. Humbled and saddened, I guess.” This uneasy position translates, too, to her feelings about the idea of Pride as a celebration and state of being. “I think what I have, and it’s something I’ve had to work really hard at, is an absence of shame. That feels more important to me than an active position of pride.” Read Variety's full interview with Gadsby, which includes her opinion of Jack Dorsey (“Grow up! Talk to other people, take their opinions”) and her take on Louis C.K.'s "fascinating" anger, at the link in bio. (📸: @sophyholland)

#PowerOfPride: For as long as #PoseFX star MJ Rodriguez can remember, she has wanted to be a performer. “When I was little all I could think about was just being on some kind of stage, whether it be on a live stage, whether it be on a set stage." Less than two years ago, Rodriguez landed the role of Blanca, a young trans woman diagnosed with HIV while becoming a surrogate mother to a group of LGBTQ youth shunned by their families, on #PoseFX. The series has since been renewed for a third season and Rodriguez believes that with success comes a responsibility to advocate for herself and others: “I’m obviously fighting for my community simply because I’m trans, and I have to do that, and I do it because that’s my existence. I wake up in the morning, and that is my activism.” Link in bio for full profile. (📸: @sophyholland)

#PowerOfPride: “Am I tired?” Don Lemon asks himself. “Sometimes, but it’s a day to day thing. Am I weary? Yes. I am. I have to be honest with you. It’s a lot.” Lemon, a CNN anchor on the air nightly at 10, would seem from some angles like someone who should be celebrating. For one thing, he’s engaged: His boyfriend, Tim Malone, proposed this spring, and Lemon’s massive ring, with embedded diamonds around its perimeter, punctuates his gestures as political chat gets animated. Another reason to celebrate: That style of talk has brought Lemon, a familiar presence on CNN for years, recent and fast-burning stardom. Lemon would be the first to tell you that he’s seen as among the leading press antagonists of the President, which these days, is exhausting. Lemon opens up about facing homophobia and racism, and how he copes with it, at the link in bio. (📸: @sophyholland)

#PowerOfPride: Who would have guessed that #Billions, a cutthroat and hedonistic look at Wall Street hedge fund magnates and the politicians gunning for them, would deliver a groundbreaking representation of gender non-binary identities? Certainly not Asia Kate Dillon, who portrays non-binary investment wunderkind Taylor Mason on the Showtime series and also identifies as non-binary off-screen. Dillon is grateful for the platform the show has given non-binary people, but says Hollywood has far to go in depicting the diversity of that spectrum: “There’s a silver-lining aspect of ‘Billions’ being a teaching tool about gender identity that myself or my character might be a bridge toward understanding. I think understanding creates hope.” Tap the link in bio for full profile. (📸: @sophyholland)

Just wanted to share my biggest thanks, love, and gratitude to everyone in our community. Yesterday, a woman came up to me in the grocery store to tell me she liked my rainbow shoe laces. She smiled and said, "I'm an old straight grandma and it makes me so happy to see all the rainbows and Parades this month. Feels like every time I turn on the TV there's something about Pride and it's being talked about more than ever before." I told her about #Stonewall50 and World Pride, and our conversation left me reflecting on how meaningful it's been for so many people in our community to share their stories, their advocacy, and each contribute in their own unique way to the collective visibility and progress of our movement. Together, we create the most brilliant, colorful, dazzling, powerful mosaic of change. As I've said before, in a world that often politicizes who you are and who you love, your existence can be a beacon of hope for others. When we are visibly LGBTQ+, we help other people know that they can be, too. I also want to send lots of love to everyone who is in the closet, questioning, or not ready/able/comfortable participating in Pride. We are doing this for you, to help shape a world where everyone can be included and accepted simply for being who they are. . I wanted to share my Pride schedule for the rest of the month. I hope to meet as many of you as possible! I'll be in NYC at the beginning of next week to kick off World Pride with some exciting interviews and events (more details soon). I'll then head back to the West Coast for a special screening of State of Pride in the iconic Castro Theater to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Stonewall on June 28th (If you're SF-based, you can buy tickets from Frameline Film Festival Now). I fly back to NYC directly after the screening to celebrate World Pride with you all on Saturday and Sunday! Love, love, love you all. . Photos by the brilliant @coryiander
