"World Adoption Day reminds adoptive families of how special they are, and may prompt others to think about adoption as a way to grow their own families." • It took Jonathan and Michael over 4 years to become dads. Their daughter Emily was born in January 2013 and was abandoned at birth; her dads took her home from the hospital, immediately becoming a loving family of three. Her adoption was finalized 7 months later. • November 9 is #WorldAdoptionDay, and we’re partnering with @dovemencare to honor some of our amazing adoptive families, and to also recognize a specific challenge facing many families created through adoption: lack of paid paternity leave. • “Any birth or adoption is a beautiful and special occasion; regardless of age, it's a chance to cement familial bonds.
