Sprawa dotyczy wypowiedzi Godek w programie „Tak czy Nie” (Polsat News) z maja tego roku, gdzie publicznie stwierdziła ona, że osoby homoseksualne są zboczone. To pogardliwe i poniżające słowa, dlatego szesnaście osób postanowiło skrzyknąć się i zawalczyć wspólnie o swoje dobre imię w sądzie. Dla siebie i dla społeczności osób LGBT+ w Polsce. Wśród osób składających pozew jest wiele osób wykonujących zawody zaufania publicznego: wykładowcy akademiccy, działacze i działaczki na rzecz praw człowieka, prawnicy i prawniczki, artyści i dziennikarka. O pozwie napisały wszystkie najważniejsze media w kraju, informacja przedostała się też za granicę, choćby za pośrednictwem portalu PinkNews i gazety „The Irish Times". To niezwykle ważne, bo pozwala zwrócić uwagę świata na problemy polskiej społeczności LGBT+ i szukać nowych sojuszników i sojuszniczek.
